About Fleet Repair Cafe
Who we are
Fleet Repair Cafe aims to repair visitors’ household items – including electrical items, textiles, bikes, computers and more – and to educate them on simple fixes and how to keep the items in good working order.
This not only saves our visitors money, but also diverts waste from landfill, reduces carbon emissions, provides a space where local craftspeople are valued for their skills, and supports the transfer of repair skills.
The repair cafe is organised by Greener Fleet Waste Prevention, a charity founded to reduce items going into landfill by encouraging repair and reuse.
Our volunteer repairers bring a range of skills – from mechanical and electrical repairs to sewing, knitting and darning – and they are supported by volunteers who welcome visitors, match them with the right repairer, and run the cafe.
We are supported by Fleet Town Council, Hart District Council, Hampshire County Council and Fleet Lions.
